This pecan pie bark combines the cozy vibes of pecan pie with the simplicity of bark, featuring buttery caramel and crunchy pecans for a sweet and indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (100g) chopped pecans
  • 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Graham crackers (enough to cover the baking sheet)
  • Optional: Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer, covering the entire surface of the pan.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup (225g) of unsalted butter. Once melted, stir in 1 cup (200g) of brown sugar and a pinch of salt. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is bubbly and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Carefully pour the hot caramel mixture over the graham crackers, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover all the edges.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup (100g) of chopped pecans evenly over the caramel layer, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbling and the pecans are lightly toasted.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes. Then, sprinkle 1 cup (175g) of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the caramel and pecans. Let the chocolate melt naturally from the heat of the caramel.
  7. Once melted, use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly over the bark. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for added flavor.
  8. Let the bark cool completely—this can take about 2-3 hours at room temperature or 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  9. Once the bark is set, use your hands or a knife to break it into bite-sized pieces. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

[‘Toast the pecans beforehand to enhance their flavor and crunch.’, ‘Keep stirring the caramel constantly to prevent burning.’, ‘Spread the caramel and chocolate evenly to avoid clumps.’, ‘Let the bark cool completely before breaking it into pieces.’]
