A quick and easy treat featuring fresh strawberries dipped in creamy frozen yogurt and frozen to perfection. These bite-sized snacks are refreshing, light, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh strawberries (medium-sized, ripe)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain or vanilla frozen yogurt (e.g., Dannon Light & Fit)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly to ensure the yogurt sticks well (about 10 minutes).
  2. In a small bowl, soften the frozen yogurt slightly for easier dipping. Mix in honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and lemon zest if using (about 5 minutes).
  3. Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  4. Dip each strawberry by the stem or using a toothpick into the yogurt coating, covering about two-thirds of the berry. Let excess drip off gently.
  5. Place the dipped strawberries on the lined tray, spacing them apart to prevent sticking.
  6. Freeze the tray for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, until the yogurt coating hardens and the strawberries are chilled through.
  7. Remove from freezer a few minutes before serving to soften slightly for easier biting.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent the yogurt from sliding off. Soften frozen yogurt slightly but do not melt. Freeze for at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours to avoid icy texture. Work in small batches to keep yogurt coating consistent. Optional toppings like chopped nuts or coconut flakes can be added after dipping before freezing.
