  • About 40 wonton wrappers
  • 2 stalks green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Cooking spray or oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese with finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce (optional), and sesame oil (optional). Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean, dry surface and keep them covered with a slightly damp kitchen towel to prevent drying out.
  4. Place about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper, being careful not to overfill.
  5. Brush the edges of the wrapper with beaten egg to seal. Fold the wrapper into a triangle or preferred shape, pressing edges firmly to seal and removing any air pockets.
  6. Place sealed wontons on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 1 inch apart.
  7. Lightly brush or spray the tops of the wontons with oil or cooking spray.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes on a cooling rack or baking sheet.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
