A simple and elegant brunch charcuterie board featuring flaky croissants, creamy brie, and fresh seasonal fruit. Perfect for casual gatherings or lazy weekend mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh croissants (preferably bakery-style, about 4 croissants)
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) brie cheese, soft rind, mild flavor
  • 1 cup seedless grapes (about 150 grams)
  • 1 medium apple, thinly sliced with skin on
  • 1 cup fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries, about 150 grams)
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling
  • Optional: toasted almonds or walnuts (a small handful)
  • Optional: fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for garnish
  • Optional: charcuterie meats like prosciutto or salami

Instructions

  1. If croissants are room temperature, warm them gently in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 5 minutes to enhance flakiness. Avoid overheating to prevent dryness.
  2. Remove brie from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before assembling to soften. Cut into wedges or slices, leaving the rind on.
  3. Rinse grapes and berries gently under cold water and pat dry. Slice apples thinly just before serving to prevent browning; optionally dip in lemon water.
  4. Arrange the board by placing croissants on one side, then position brie wedges nearby. Fill gaps with clusters of grapes, apple slices, and berries to create a colorful spread.
  5. Add optional garnishes: drizzle honey or maple syrup over brie and fruit, sprinkle toasted nuts, and scatter fresh herbs for aroma and visual appeal.
  6. If using cured meats, tuck them around the edges for easy picking. Keep extra croissants nearby for seconds.

Notes

Serve the board at room temperature so the brie is soft and croissants are warm but not hot. Prepare fruit just before serving to keep freshness. Leftovers should be stored separately and consumed within a day for best quality. For dairy-free or gluten-free options, substitute vegan cheese and gluten-free pastries or crackers.
