These perfect champagne cocktails are quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing sparkling drinks that combine crisp champagne with simple mixers and fresh garnishes for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml bottle Champagne or Sparkling Wine (Brut or Extra Dry preferred)
  • 1/4 cup Simple Syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 oz Fruit Liqueurs (elderflower liqueur – St-Germain, orange liqueur – Cointreau, or raspberry liqueur – Chambord)
  • Fresh Citrus (lemon and orange wedges or twists)
  • Fresh Berries (raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries)
  • Fresh Herbs (mint or basil sprigs)
  • Dash or two of Angostura bitters (optional)
  • Ice Cubes
  • Alternative Ingredients: sparkling rosΓ©, honey syrup instead of simple syrup, agave nectar as natural sweetener

Instructions

  1. Chill your champagne flutes in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before serving.
  2. Prepare simple syrup if needed by combining equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and cool completely (about 10 minutes).
  3. Select your cocktail variation and measure out liqueurs and simple syrup accordingly.
  4. In a small pitcher or mixing glass, combine the liqueur and simple syrup. Stir gently to blend.
  5. Pour the liqueur-syrup mix into the chilled glass, filling about one-third full (about 2 oz / 60 ml).
  6. Slowly pour chilled champagne (about 4-5 oz / 120-150 ml) down the side of the glass to maintain bubbles and avoid overflow.
  7. Garnish with fresh fruit, a citrus twist, or herb sprig as desired.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest fizz and flavors.

Notes

Always use cold champagne and chilled glasses to preserve bubbles. Pour champagne slowly down the side of the glass to keep fizz. Balance sweetness carefully by starting with less syrup or liqueur and adjusting to taste. Fresh garnishes add aroma and visual appeal. Prepare syrups and garnishes ahead to save time.
