  • 1/4 cup (30g) breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika (optional)
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Thyme (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sausage meat, breadcrumbs, diced onion, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings. Mix until evenly combined.
  3. If the puff pastry sheets are too thick, lightly roll them out with a rolling pin to achieve an even thickness.
  4. Cut each puff pastry sheet in half lengthwise to create two long rectangles. Spoon the sausage mixture onto each rectangle, forming a log along one edge.
  5. Brush the edge of the pastry with beaten egg. Carefully roll up the pastry, starting from the edge with the sausage filling, and press to seal the seam.
  6. Use a sharp knife to cut each roll into bite-sized pieces, about 1 to 1.5 inches wide. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
