A quick and easy iced espresso drink shaken with brown sugar and oat milk for a smooth, creamy, and refreshingly sweet coffee treat perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (about 2 ounces / 60 ml) freshly brewed espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold oat milk (barista-style recommended)
  • 68 ice cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 shots (about 2 ounces / 60 ml) of espresso using your preferred method.
  2. Pour the hot espresso into a cocktail shaker or Mason jar and add 2 teaspoons of packed brown sugar.
  3. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until frothy.
  4. Fill a tall glass with 6-8 ice cubes.
  5. Pour the shaken espresso and sugar mixture over the ice.
  6. Slowly add 1/2 cup (120 ml) of cold oat milk over the espresso.
  7. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract if desired and gently stir or leave layered.
  8. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

Shake espresso and brown sugar before adding oat milk to ensure frothy texture and fully dissolved sugar. Use barista-style oat milk for creaminess. For less sweetness, reduce brown sugar or substitute with maple syrup. Avoid shaking after adding oat milk to prevent spills.
