A quick and easy no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed Oreo cookies, creamy vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and festive red, white, and blue sprinkles. Perfect for summer celebrations like the 4th of July.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 regular-sized Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk (whole milk preferred, 2% works fine)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles for garnish
  • Optional: fresh berries (blueberries or sliced strawberries) for topping

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies using a food processor or place in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until you have a mix of fine crumbs and small chunks (about 3 minutes).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk. Whisk for 2 minutes until thickened, then let sit for 5 minutes to fully set.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the pudding, then gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping to lighten the texture (about 2 minutes).
  4. Reserve about one-third of the crushed Oreos for topping. Fold the remaining crumbs into the pudding mixture, keeping some chunks for texture (1-2 minutes).
  5. Layer the cups by spooning a few tablespoons of the Oreo-pudding mixture into the bottom of each serving cup. Add a thin layer of reserved crumbs, then more pudding mixture, repeating until cups are filled, leaving room for the final crumb topping (5-7 minutes).
  6. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top, then add patriotic red, white, and blue sprinkles. Add fresh berries if desired (2 minutes).
  7. Refrigerate the assembled cups for at least 1 hour before serving to let flavors meld and textures set. Can be made up to 4 hours ahead.

Notes

Do not over-crush the Oreos to keep some texture. Use cold milk for best pudding consistency. Fold whipped topping gently to keep airiness. Chill at least 1 hour before serving. Can be made up to 4 hours ahead and stored refrigerated for up to 3 days. Add fresh sprinkles or crumbs before serving leftovers for best texture.
